(GDI) Gasoline Direct Injectors

Gasoline direct injection is here and it's not going away. Direct injection solves some problems while creating some new ones. On the good side, power and economy has been enhanced. Here is the not-so good. The injectors are mounted in the combustion chamber where carbon build up is fouling the tips causing poor spray pattern formation. Patter formation is very critical in Gasoline Direct Injection to provide good combustion. Be sure to use Top Tier rated fuel (more on that in a latter blog post) to help keep things in good operating condition. 

If you are having a problem with your gasoline direct fuel injectors send them in for evaluation and cleaning. The cost of service is a fraction of the cost of replacement.
